What to do for CAS? 10 unique tips for activity

Activity is something you probably do in some form already so you don't necessary have to do anything extra. Basic things like running, cycling and any team sport that you do can count towards CAS. However, there can be differences between school so it is always good idea to check with your CAS coordinator. But if you want to try new things or don't feel inspired by the most common sports here are some things that could work

1. Hiking

Do you love hiking because it can definitely count as activity. If you are planning to go on a hiking trip during the summer or you simply just enjoy spending time in the nature this might work for you.

2. Skiing

Are you taking a skiing trip during Christmas or winter holidays? Just take some videos for evidence and you can use it for CAS.

3. Paddling and kayaking

If you live near water, this could work for you. If you haven't tried this already, you defo should!! It is really fun. You can rent one and try.

4. Indoor climbing/bouldering

It is so much fun so give it a try.

5. Yoga

This is also a good way to reduce some of that IB stress. You can take lessons or do it at home with tutorials.

6. Boxing

Fitness boxing can be a great form of exercise.  You can also try martial arts.

7. Skateboarding

I have never tried this but it looks cool.

8. Geocaching

If you like being outdoors and you are good at finding things, you should look into geocaching.

9. Orienteering

Same reasons as above. Search online if you have any opportunities for orienteering near you.

10. Walking.

I know some people in my school got CAS for this but it might differ between schools.

CAS should mainly consist of things that you enjoy doing so my recommendation is to pick activities that you want to try or that you would normally do. Activity is also important for physical and mental health as it reduces stress. Especially for an IB student who spends a lot of time studying, it is good idea to pick something you can do outside.
